So, this whole “blog” thing is harder to keep up with than I thought. It certainly doesn’t help that school is INSANE and I’m reading something like three novels every two weeks. Plus papers. Needless to say, my writing time has decreased (and by “decreased” I mean “disappeared”), but I do have some exciting news!
My short story, “The Body Electric”, was recently published in an anthology called A Chimerical World: Tales of the Seelie Court. There’s a Tales of the Unseelie Court companion anthology, as well, though I don’t have anything in that one.
Don’t let the anthology title fool you. Though the main character may be an elf, that’s pretty much all of the fae you’ll find in my story. I can’t speak for the others, since I haven’t had the privilege of reading them yet, though I’ve heard they’re a lot more fae/fairytale-centric than mine is.
If you want to read a story that’s a little fantasy and a lot cyberpunk, then “The Body Electric” is for you. The characters will also appear in my currently untitled novel in progress, so here’s hoping it’s just the first of many times you’ll go on a run with Lysistrata and Grendel.
